Christmas on the Square is one of the largest Christmas festivals in North Florida with over 200 arts & crafts vendors, food vendors, a car show, an agriculture exhibit, and live entertainment in downtown Live Oak. This year will be the 40th year of this event!
The festivities begin on Thursday evening at 5:45 with a Christmas tree lighting at Millennium Park. The kid’s 1-mile fun run will start at 6pm followed by The Jingle Bell Fun Run/Walk ending at Millennium Park. There will also be refreshments and a Christmas movie for the kids.
On Friday the fun kicks off at 4pm and we will have an evening filled with arts and craft vendors, live music, food vendors, and there is also a 100% chance of snow provided by the Busy Bee! Bring the kids out to enjoy snow sledding and snowball fights. The Coca-Cola Santa will make a special appearance to take pictures with the kids. The grand finale is a professional fireworks show.
On Saturday downtown Live Oak is filled with arts and crafts vendors, dozens of different food vendors, a car show, an agriculture exhibit, and live entertainment at Millennium Park from 9am – 4pm. There will be over 200 vendors offering arts and crafts, handcrafted woodworks, home decor, furniture, and much more. As visitors walk through the arts and crafts booths, they can’t resist the smell of the delicious and diverse foods in the food court. You can enjoy many different types of meals and tasty snacks.
Once the sun goes down and the vendors pack up their booths, the day isn’t over yet. The stars of this show are just making their way down Ohio Avenue to shine in the Annual Christmas Parade of Lights. Numerous floats are entered every year to compete for many titles in the parade competition. Young and old alike delight in the spectacular and dazzling displays of lighted mobile creativity.
