Royal Springs

Pack a picnic lunch, bring your bathing suit, towel, and tubes, and plan to spend an afternoon in one of Mother Nature’s best gifts – Royal Springs.

Royal Springs is a 5-acre county park with a beautiful natural spring, a spring run, and a few short waterfalls in the spring run depending on the height of the river. There are four overlook decks so you can enjoy the view. One of the most popular aspects of Royal Springs is the jumping platform for those who like a little adventure but there is also a shallow end that is kid-friendly. The pool area is 200 feet wide and 42 feet deep and there is exposed limestone around the pool area.

The spring stays at 72 degrees all year long so it’s a great place to go any time of year. The water feels like air conditioning in the summertime and feels like heat in the winter. Things you can do at Royal Springs include swimming, diving, snorkeling, fishing, and canoeing or kayaking.

Amenities include a public boat ramp, picnic tables with grills, and portable restrooms. Admission to the park costs $5 per vehicle—card only. The park hours are from 7 am-7 pm from April through October. From November through March the park hours are from 7 am – 6 pm. We invite you to enjoy this park but please leave only footprints.

Since we are located in the heart of spring country we have several springs in the area! Be sure to check out more of our favorite springs such as Peacock Springs and Little River Springs.
