Ivey Memorial Park is a riverfront park so if you are looking for a place to take in the Suwannee River this is the spot. The park has two boat ramps and a walking ramp that leads to a floating dock. There are several covered picnic areas so stop by one of the nearby restaurants and take your food to the park to enjoy your meal “al fresco”. Branford Springs is also located at the park. It’s a smaller natural spring with a wooden boardwalk around it and it’s a refreshing swimming hole when you need to cool off.
This is also a great place to begin a trip on the Suwannee River Greenway which is a 29-mile asphalt rail trail. You can go running, biking, rollerblading, or walk your dog on the trail. And from Ivey Memorial Park you are only 5 miles away from one of the best springs in the area – Little River Springs. Ivey Memorial Park is a beautiful place to spend an afternoon or start a day of adventure. There are portable restrooms and admission to the park is free.
If it’s interesting, relevant or just plain awesome and it’s happening in Suwannee County, we’ll make sure to tell you all about it!
