Branford 4th of July celebration & fireworks

We would like to invite you to participate in this year’s 4th of July River Reunion Festival at the Branford Greenway (behind Town Hall) on July 4th with fireworks of course. Admission is free! The day’s festivities will start with a duck race at 2:00 at the historical Ivey Park at Branford Springs on the Suwannee River. Then go to the Branford Greenway for entertainment and activities which include a parade down Suwannee Avenue. The festival will culminate with a fireworks show at dark.

Come out and get your dinner and/or snacks from the food booths. Make sure to sign your kids up for the Bedrock Derby. Are you wondering, “What is the Bed Rock Derby”? Do you remember the Flintstones cartoon? Children will be provided with supplies to personalize a car (a cardboard box) and the kids decorate them with crayons and markers. Then the kids will race with them “Flintstone style”, on foot.

There will be live music, a cornhole tournament, a watermelon eating contest, and a watermelon seed spitting contest. The firework show begins at dark! It’s fun and admission is free so come on out!

The schedule is as follows:

2:00 pm Duck Race at Ivey Park
