Orange Grove Sink at Peacock Springs

The nature trail at Wes Skiles Peacock Springs is temporarily closed due to ongoing hurricane clean-up efforts. Orange Grove Sink will be temporarily closed for diving and swimming due to the replacement of access stairs. Access to P1, P2, and P3 springs will remain open during this project. For more information and updates, please visit the park’s official website.

Orange Grove Sink is located inside Wes Skiles Peacock Springs State Park. Orange Grove Sink is a great place for cavern and cave diving, open water diving, and swimming. It is common to see a layer of green floating on the surface of Orange Grove Sink. That is called Duckweed which is a small flowering plant and it is a nutritious food source for fish, ducks, and geese.

All divers must show proof of certification or leave certifications visible on the car dashboard. Dive parties must consist of at least two divers – solo diving is not allowed. Dives must be finished one hour before sunset. Anyone participating in scuba diving does so at their own risk.

Admission costs $4 per vehicle. Leave either cash or a check in the box at the entrance.
