Hurricane Idalia was a major storm that impacted parts of Florida in late August 2023. The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a HURRICANE WARNING for Suwannee County at that time. Areas in and around Suwannee County experienced strong Category 2 winds, significant rainfall, and flash flooding.

Emergency orders included mandatory evacuations for residents in mobile homes, flood-prone areas, and compromised structures. Please note that the conditions and advisories listed below are no longer active.
